Accessibility
Parr Hall is dedicated to ensuring each and every visitor is able to enjoy memorable experiences at our venue. Our building is a listed property that is very old and unique, but we have made every effort during its development to ensure all areas and activities are accessible to everyone. Below are some of the facilities we have in place to aid accessibility. If you have any further queries please contact us Box Office, who will be able to assist you.
Arrival
Space is available near to the entrance of Parr Hall for dropping visitors off. There are also accessible on-street parking spaces on Museum Street and Palmyra Square North.
The Building
Automatic doors are in place at the main entrance. All staircases have handrails and are interspersed by landing areas. Unfortunately, Parr Hall has no lift access but if you need assistance please ask at the time of booking or ask for support from a member of staff.
Wheelchair Users
Wheelchair spaces are available in all venues – please mention when booking a ticket to ensure a space is reserved. There is no wheelchair access to the Circle seating area upstairs in Parr Hall as the building has no lift access. For events selling tickets as ‘Stalls Standing’ an accessible viewing platform is available on the ground floor – please ask at the time of booking to ensure a space is reserved.
Wheelchair refuge areas are designated throughout the venue for evacuation purposes.
Toilets
Parr Hall has an accessible toilet on the ground floor.
Bar
Both downstairs bars at Parr Hall have lowered serving points.
Hearing Facilities
We are currently in the process of replacing and upgrading our induction loop system at Parr Hall. If you are booking/attending a show or event at our venue and have additional hearing requirements please make our team aware prior to attending. We will make arrangements to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience. We are working with partners to offer signed performances and activities in response to demand.
Companion Tickets
If you need a personal assistant to be able to attend a show, we can issue a free ticket with any of the below documents:
- Front page of DLA / PIP
- Front page of Attendance Allowance letter
- Evidence of being registered severely sight impaired
- Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
- Credibility’s access card
Only one free ticket can be issued per person per show, tickets are subject to availability.
Documents can be emailed to [email protected] or can be shown at box office at the time of booking.
Miscellaneous
Visits to the venue before an event can be arranged with prior notice. Assistance and Guide Dogs are welcome. Any other assistance – which includes the use portable chairs – is available upon request. We will seek to make reasonable adjustments in order to accommodate our visitors.
Age Restrictions
Due to the range of shows that we host at Parr Hall, it is always worth checking the event information for each show to find out if any age restrictions apply.
For events that specify a restriction, remember to carry proof of age if necessary.
